What is the name of the owner of your shop?
Mr. Seiichi Watanabe
How did you get into cycling, personally?
25 years ago, I started mountain biking to train for basketball.
For how many years has your shop been in business?
12 years
What is your shop’s mission statement?
We want to fully satisfy our customers’ wants and desires by providing a bike that’s wholly suited to their needs. Simply put, if the frame is to be used for a long time, it should be made of metal — specifically steel or titanium. If the customer is thinking of racing, then we’d recommend carbon. Our aim is true: to select the best products matched to the rider’s personal preferences. Whether you are just starting cycling or are a veteran cyclist, we will provide you with friendly support regardless of your experience.
What makes your shop different than other shops?
We have many opportunities to build bikes starting with the frame itself rather than focusing on the complete bike. We are good at choosing frames and parts that suit the rider — and they aren’t always the famous or trendy ones. We have experience, knowledge, and skills in all categories of road, gravel, mountain bike, and cyclo-cross.
Why did you choose to carry Ritchey products?
I have been using Ritchey products for a long time and I am confident that Ritchey products are good quality and possess the performance and functionality that I really need.
What is your favorite Ritchey product?
Swiss Cross, which became the bike of choice around 2000. The Outback is what I’m currently riding.
Any regular shop rides, community rides, or special events?
We host rides that last from two hours to a half day on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. In the wintertime, we go mountain biking and gravel riding.
